Managing Dashboard on freelancer.com

Bidding on projects on freelancer.com is one of the most sensitive topic as it varies with regards to various projects of different categories and criteria.
In this post we will discuss how to select the project of our choice from the list of many thousand projects available on freelance.com and how to convince the service provider that you are having the expertise and experience to get the project done.
  • Once you open the freelancer.com, you will be ask for login with your freelance ID & Password as shown in below screenshot
The landing page of freelancer.com contains login for where you can enter the login ID and password which you have created earlier.

    After logging-in, freelancer.com redirects you to dashboard. (below screenshot)
    Dashboard is the place where you can find all your previous and current activities (blow screenshot),where freelancer.com keeps you updated with all the important information, news and updates.
    It informs you about
    • How much balance you have in your freelancer account.
    • What was the last transaction done.
    • New updates and info blog through Noticeboard.
    • News feed keeps you updated for the certain number of previous transactions.
    Project Table is one of the most Important part of dashboard which contains two different views Employer view and Freelancer View

    Freelancer View : Freelancer view is used by service provider to manage the projects on which they have made BID. Freelancer view consist of four different tabs to manage and control the projects are :


    TAB1 : Active Bids:
    Active bids consist of all the project recently bids on by service provider and communication is going on between employer and provider to convince employer regarding providers expertise and experience to get the project done.
    This communication can be anything related to project such as 

    • Dead line of the project.
    • Money negotiation e.g. there might change is the payment value.
    • Fund negotiation e.g. Milestone, Escrow payment, advance payment.
    • Once the above criteria or required expectation is done and employer convinced  he selects the provider for project and after accepting the project it goes into current work tab of freelancer view.

    TAB2 : Current work:
    Current work tab consist of the list of the project in hand of service provider. this are the project won by service provider. using this tab service provider keeps the track of current project and communicate with employer regarding the progress of the project like :

    • Tools and expertise needed for the projects.
    • Modification or revision of the projects.
    TAB3 : Past Work:
    Past work Tab consist of all the previous project won and completed by the service provider, just to keep track of the projects.

    TAB4 : Bids Lost:
    Bid lost tab keeps the list of the projects for which the provider is not selected.

    Employer View : Employer view is used by service buyers where they can check the activities regarding the project they have posted. Employer view has 3 diffrent tabs to manage and control the projects are  


    TAB1 : Open for Bidding 

    Open for bidding tab consist of project which are posted and still in open status so the service providers can make a bid and let the employer know their interest working in particular projects. 

    TAB2 : Work in Progress 

    Work in progress tab consist of project which is assign to service provider and they are working on the project and by using this tab employer can be aware  of status and activities of the projects.

    TAB3 : Past Projects. 
    Past projects tab contains the list of project employer has posted and completed. this tab is required just to keep the track of the projects.

    After posing a project, the Employer (service buyer) can manage the whole project through Employer view, which can be :
    • Employer can update the project details
    • Employer can communicate with service providers
    • Employer can attach the files for demo.
    • Employer can cancel the project if needed.
